About Us
bello Salon Suites is a collection of 106 custom-designed salons and exquisite customer lounges serving beauty-industry salon businesses in Sacramento, California. We provide exclusive support, resources, and amenities to the professional men and women who make bello home for their businesses.
Why We Do This
We do this for the wonderful men and women who come and work hard every day who make up the bello family. They are all kind, decent, and hard-working people who are taking control over their futures and building better lives for themselves and their families. It is such an honor that they chose to trust bello with their businesses.

The bello Story
The Personal Experience
That Started it All
In 2018, three friends who had been investing together for several years started talking about what to do next. They wanted to make a smart investment in a business that would create opportunities for others to grow. Several options were explored. One was opening a hardware store, and another was a tattoo removal parlor.
Around the same time, the daughter of bello’s majority shareholder, Tim Conner, was working in one of Sacramento’s salon suites companies. Before that, she was working at a local salon as a top stylist. She worked five days a week and was earning roughly $38,000 per year. In 2016 she made the decision to leave the salon and strike out on her own in a franchise salon suite. During her first year in her own business and renting a salon suite, she earned $150,000. And she was able to cut her schedule down to working and average of four days per week.
As we recounted her story and talked to other stylists who followed a similar career path, we realized that salon suites could be a great win-win business for us. We could build a nice business for ourselves and we could help and support independent business people, too. It is a win/win situation for everyone.
We spoke to some of the big franchise names in salon suites. But soon realized our team had the ability and desire to create something truly unique in the market. We wanted to truly support our “bello family,” not have a “McSalon Suites” with the one-size-fits-all all that comes with a franchise business model.

Guidance From Industry Experts
As we began construction of bello we gathered our “panel of experts.” Our panel consisted of six experienced stylists working in high-end salons and in competitive salon suites. We brought them together for a nice meal and asked them: “What do you love and hate about where you are working?” We also asked, “If you were Queen, with the power to decree your desires, what would you do differently?”

Our Panel of Experts gathering for a working dinner.
We listened carefully, asked follow-up questions, and then we acted upon what we learned:
What We Learned
The first item that came up in our discussion was laundry! UGGHH, not only is there drama in the laundry room with people taking my stuff out of the dryer, and I don’t get back there in time, but they charge me to use their machines!” Laundry problems were echoed loudly by all of the stylists who worked in suites.
What We Did
This led us to implement our “bello Concierge” program, where we supply all styling capes, towels, and spa sheets delivered each morning to every suite. They are put away neatly in their custom cabinets, and we then take out the soiled linens and trash. This lets our bello professionals come in and focus on their clients while we take care of the laundry.
What We Learned
The second item that came up in the meeting was the problem with taking time off. One of our panel members said, “As a self-employed stylist, if I want to take my son to Disneyland or to the beach. I have no income while I’m on vacation, but my suite rent is still due.
That’s tough.”
What We Did
This comment led to our exclusive “bello week.” The bello week is a week of “vacation from suite rent” each year so our professionals can get away and relax.
We know of no other salon suites that do this for their professionals. When we say you’re a part of the “bello family,” we mean it!
Standing Strong and Growing
The Grand Opening
We opened bello Salon Suites on June 1, 2020. We started with 54 suites.
You may recall that there was a global pandemic during that time. Oh boy, was there stress in our lives during the multiple government shutdowns of the beauty industry!
We stood by our professionals during those dark and difficult days, and we all came through it okay.
That’s the thing about adversity, you learn about yourself and always come through it stronger.
By early 2021, we had nearly filled nearly all of our available suites and we decided to expand.

We opened our expanded premises in March of 2022 with 78 suites on our Arden/Arcade Campus.
A Bright Future
Right now, in 2024, we are in construction to expand even further. In early 2025, we will have 106 suites at the Arden Arcade campus.
Once the expansion is completed, bello will be one of the largest single-location, independently owned and operated salon suites in the nation.
We are proud of what we’ve built and are grateful to everyone who’s contributed to bello’s success.
We will continue to look for opportunities and are excited about the future.
